Himalaya Photo Adventure – Ladakh, India

Join us on a once in a lifetime photo adventure to the Indian Himalayas.

This exciting trip will take you to Ladakh, which is in the northern part of India. This area is situated within the Himalaya mountain range at heights ranging between 3,500 and 5,500m.

You will see and photograph some of the most amazing landscapes, people, culture and animals local to this area. We will travel over some of the highest motorable passes in the world, visit some of the highest lakes, and see monasteries, Buddhist temples, local culture and people.

Places we will visit include Leh, Alchi, Khardung La, the Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri and Tso Kar.

You will have the chance to ride on double hump camels on the sand dunes in the Nubra Valley, visit small Tibetan and Ladakhi restaurants, eat local food, drink different teas and experience the culture of the people in this area.

We will stay in local guest houses and in some locations tented camps in the towns we visit.

When: TBC

Accommodation: Guesthouses and tented camps

Meals: Breakfast and dinner included. Freshly cooked vegetarian meals. Very little meat is available in that part of India and the chances of getting any meat to eat while we are there are very slim. There is more than enough food served with each meal and you will never go hungry.

Travelling: Airfare to and from Leh in India are not included. We will give advice on the flight bookings and if possible, would like all participants to travel together on all flights. All local travel by car is included. Maximum 3 passengers per car to allow for maximum photographic opportunities.

Group size: Maximum 6 persons.

Physical difficulty: Moderate. You must be able to walk short distances over rocky terrain. Because of the high altitudes and lack of oxygen, you may become very tired and feel out of breath and even get headaches when walking short distances. It is compulsory to get advice from your doctor before taking on a trip like this. There is medication on the market to help fight altitude sickness.
